Job Title: Software User Training Specialist

Job Description:

Summary:     Provides on-going training (presentations, stand-up training, instructions, etc.) to growing customer base, management and internal staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides on-going training (presentations, stand-up training, instructions, etc.) to growing customer base, management and internal staff. Coordinates on-site and web-ex training sessions with customers.
  • Works in tandem with implementation, support, product management and development to build and maintain a strong understanding of product intricacies, as well as upcoming new product releases.  
  • Responsible for the development, presentation and organization of training courses for the ValueTrak application and for assisting in the development and management of documentation to support the product.
  • Researches, prepares & customizes training/instructional materials, teaching aids and devices for key customers, where appropriate.
  • Develops and organizes training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
  • Develops testing and evaluation procedures for the ValueTrak Certification program.
  • Works closely with account managers, implementation, support and product management in development and execution of training.
  • Evaluates audience performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Reviews and evaluates training materials for compliance with marketing and training standards.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
  • Approximately 50% travel is required for this position.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications / Training:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (especially Power Point) is essential.
  • Strong ability to think on your feet and problem solve; excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to deal with internal and external customers in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
  • Works well with others both within ValueCentric and with our customers and all levels of personnel; able to cross many departments to get answers to questions and research products.

Education / Experience

  • Minimum 2-5 years of training experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Education or related field or commensurate experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with web-based training and course-based training is a plus.
